Coach Dan DeMarco

Hello and welcome to Rock n Fire!  Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Dan DeMarco, owner and operator of the Rock n Fire Women's Fastpitch pitching facility in Shoemakersville, Pa.  I have been a Women's Fastpitch pitching instructor for the past 25 years. My experience includes 25 years as a private instructor, as well as 17 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.

I had previously spent 11 years as the pitching coach at Division 2 Kutztown University, under current head coach Judy Lawes.  I had also spent 7 years as the pitching coach at Division 1 Temple University, under the late head coach Rocci Pignoli, and later under head coach Casey Dickson.

During my 25 years of coaching, I am proud of the fact that Rock n Fire has produced many local, state, regional and national champions, at all levels of the game. (See Champions Page for a detailed list).  At the collegiate level, Rock n Fire in the past 20 years, has produced over 100 college scholarship pitchers. They include girls who have gone on to garner 8 conference championships, 5 regional championships and and 2 national championships. 14 of our young ladies have also gone on to become All - Americans at both the regional and national levels. One of those young ladies went on to become a 2 time Honda Award winner as the outstanding female athelete in the country. She is currently pitching in the Womens Professional Fastpitch League (WPFL) for the Tenneesse Diamonds.

 Rock n Fire is proud of its legacy. We pride ourselves on doing everything possible, to try and help each student reach her full potential. We want ALL of our girls to be the "best they can be".  Competition for college scholarships is fierce. We here at Rock n Fire NEVER promise our girls a scholarship. What we DO promise them is a TOTAL COMMITMENT on our part, to do every thing possible to try and prepare her to compete for one.  We feel if we strive to help every girl become the best she can be, we will ALL be successful in the long run! 

Rock n Fire is always accepting new students. And rest assured that we never "hand pick" or turn students away, based upon their size, skill level or ability. All girls are welcome here at Rock n Fire.  The only requirements are that she possesses a strong committment level, a fierce desire to achieve, and a strong work ethic.
